Kathmandu: In commemoration of International Women’s Day, March 08, 2024, a pioneering initiative unfolded as three young women from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) embarked on an awe-inspiring journey to conquer part of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest.
This ambitious undertaking, christened “Women United for Climate Justice,” was arranged by the Women’s Association with the firm support and coordination of the UAE Embassy in Nepal.
Against the backdrop of the vast Himalayan expanse, the expedition symbolizes more than just a physical conquest; it embodies the spirit of resilience, empowerment, and environmental stewardship.
“Women United for Climate Justice” transcends mere mountaineering; it is a resounding declaration of the growing role of women in the global discourse on climate change.
