Nepal: Pakistan PM Shehbaz resolves to overcome multifold challenges

Kathmandu: On the auspicious occasion of the 84 National Day of Pakistan, a Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu, March 23, 2024.

The Ambassador of Pakistan in Nepal H.E. Abrar H Hashmi hoisted the National Flag.

Messages from the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were read out on the occasion.

In his message, Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan recalled the visionary leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and sacrifices of the forefathers in

achieving an Independent State for Muslims. He reflected on the past achievements and prayed for end of subjugation and worse brutalities on Kashmiri and Palestinian brethren.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended felicitations to Pakistanis at home and abroad on Pakistan Day’. In his messages, he expressed resolve of the nation to overcome the multifold challenges including inflation and terrorism and make Pakistan a trivet of peace, progress and stability.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar greeted Overseas Pakistanis and urged the compatriots to continue to excel in their chosen fields, vocations and enterprise; for their success, achievement and excellence lies the country’s development and progress.

In the comity of nations, Pakistan has distinguished itself by standing for the supremacy of UN Charter and international law, he stated.

Back in Kathmandu in his remarks, the Ambassador H.E. Abrar H Hashmi recalled the determination and resolution of Muslims in 1940 and continuation of struggle to make Pakistan prosperous. He greeted the guests and highlighted key aspects of close Pakistan-Nepal relationship and endeavours being made by the Mission for further strengthening this bond.
