Khum Bahadur Khadka
Nepali Congress Leader, Dang
Khum Bahadur Khadka, Nepali Congress leader, has made some bitter remarks against his own party’s functioning style.
Khadka claims that the Nepali Congress has distanced itself from late B. P. Koirala’s established policies and ideologies.
Talking to his own party cadres in Urhari, Dang, April 19, 2012, Khadka further said “though the NC leaders do talk of and remember BP’s contributions while making long lectures, however, when it comes to the implementation part of the said ideologies, BP is inevitably forgotten.
“Yes! They do talk about late BP but when it comes to bringing those practices into effect his structured policies, the leaders remain tight-lipped”, so said Khadka.
He also alleged that none of the present day NC leaders toe the political line charted by late Koirala-one of the principal founder of the Nepali Congress.
Late B. P. Koirala was the elder brother of late Girija Prasad Koirala.
According to this NC leader, if the party strictly followed BP line then very shortly the party can become the prime force in the country’s politics.
“The party has gone down the hill simply because it has abandoned and ignored BP’s policies”, Khadka opined.
Khadka maintains that the Nepali Congress has already become a tail of the Maoists which could, time permitting, become very dangerous.
In the name of the prevalence of peace, the NC is following the Maoists line of considerations which may boomerang, concluded Khadka.
