“I am not aware of my exact birth date. As per my national identity card, I am 35 years old now. When I was sixteen, I was taken to Bombay by four local pimps. They asked me to go along with them. I resisted. They forced me to take a pill that made me instantly unconscious. I came to my senses a day after when we had already arrived in Gorakhpur, India. I was much exhausted. I had no idea where they were carrying me. I started crying. One of the pimps told me that now all doors were closed for me to go back to my village. He told me that they will find a good job. I was feeling dizzy. I fell asleep. The next morning when I woke up, I could see a long vehicle in front of me. For the first time I had seen a train, I was afraid. They dumped me in a locomotive with Kashmir destination and gave me yet another sedative pill. I became unconscious once again. I don’t know where we left the train. We were in a restaurant. I was crying all along. A woman came who put me in a taxi and took me to Kamatipura (brothel in Bombay)”
