China’s aggressive economic investment in Nepal, worry for India

Sudhir Sharma

Editor, The kantipur daily

“A researcher from New Delhi based Institute of Defense Studies and Analysis (IDAS) who was in Kathmandu recently had said that it will take at least six years for Indian joint venture companies to replenish their business losses that occurred under various pretexts including entry of Chinese investments in Nepal in the last one and half year period. This explains the wariness among Indian planners towards increasing Chinese aggressiveness in Nepal’s economic sector”.
