Kamal Thapa demands Referendum for revival of Nepal monarchy

“Referendum should be held to decide the fate of institution of monarchy and Hindu State”, said Kamal Thapa chairperson of Rastriya Prajatanra Party-Nepal, Saturday August 14, 2010.

Mr. Thapa made the remark in London at a program organized by the Patriotic Nepalese Democratic Forum.

  • The demand made by Mr.Kamal Thapa to have referendum in order to decide about the fate of institution of monarchy and issue of Hindu state versus secularism,has,undoubtedly,represented the voices of million Nepalis.So,bypassing or ignoring the aspiration of millions Nepalis could not be considered as an act of demcratic norms and rule of law.

  • NOW IT HAS BEEN VERY ESSENTIAL THAT THERE SHOULD BE REFERENDUM IN REGARDS TO MONARCHY AND HINDU KINGDOM,IT IS A MUST. THESE ARE THE TWO MAIN ISSUES THAT WILL BRING PEACE IN NEPAL,IF NOT WE ARE HEADING A DANGEROUS ROAD WHERE THE OUTCOME IS GOING TO BE A BLOODBATH,AND THEN THE SO CALLED POLITICAL LEADERS WILL ALSO NOT BE SPARED.
