Maoists no confidence rumor against Govt terrifies Nepal PM

TGW

A visible shaken Nepal’s Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal headed straight to the personal residence of Mr. Narayan Man Bijukche Rohit, the chairman of Bhaktapur District based Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party, after rumor spread in the capital on Saturday, March 13, 2010, that the Unified Maoists’ Party was going to file a no confidence motion against his government soon.

The prime minister was shocked to hear that some leaders from his own party had already assured the Maoists that they too will help them vote Madhav Kumar Nepal out.

Chameleons are present in practically all the political parties of Nepal and the UML can’t thus be exception to the rule.

Nepal PM informed Bijukche that the NCP-Maoists was preparing to make effective use of the summoning of the special session of the parliament to derail the current government led by him.

“I am happy that finally they have accepted parliamentary process and are preparing to show their majority in the parliament,” reportedly said the PM to Bijukche in a frustrating mood.

Bijukche who is considered as an influential communist leader told the PM that he was not in favor of government change until the drafting of the constitution.
Dark clouds have begun hovering over Baluatar Palace.
