Nepal: Enemies from within

Editorial

He is not only a destructive political head of a namesake democratic party but also has very freshly made it abundantly clear that his brain is also a perverted one.

He forced the rest of the major parties to select him as the head of the High Level Political Mechanism-HLPM. The leaders of the political parties accepted his authority simply because he is senior in “age” than the rest housed in the said Body or say mechanism.

The day he assumed the post of the head master of the HLPM, he beamingly declared that “now we all must work in a united manner and that the constitution should be drafted on the stipulated date”.

Now this perverted brain has begun talking different. But why he is talking different now and that too all of a sudden? It must have some inner meaning.

Perhaps he has sensed in advance that the constitution can’t be drafted on or before May 27, 2010, late evening and thus his changed in tone and previous authoritative language.

Look how he changed his words just the other day. He says, “I am just the guardian of the High Level Political Mechanism and will remain a titular head only…things will have to be accomplished by the leaders of other parties…this is what I hope”.

Certainly this clever and disturbed political brain now wants to summarily shift the blame on to the heads of Prachanda and Jhal Nath Khanal for not being able to draft the new constitution of the country on the stipulated commanded by the Constituent Assembly some two years ago.

Or it could be that this disparaging politician has been “instructed” by his foreign masters, near and far that he has in abundance, not to make any efforts aimed at framing new constitution for Nepal as it were being “drafted” somewhere else where, presumably, the 12 point agreement originated first and later was signed by the then agitating seven parties led by this withering Nepali politician.

Then it is not for nothing being talked in the high academic sector that the old 1990 constitution is all set to get revived.

Serving alien masters has become already an accepted phenomenon in Nepal and thus analysts hope that what the alien forces prefer would come to true. Thus there is ample space to suspect that Nepali leaders have begun playing foul with the innocent sentiments of the common men who have always been cheated. The fresh cheat and deceit against them-the deaf and dumb national population- is round the corner if everything goes as per the preferences and the wishes of the alien masters.

A game against the population is being played by “Nepal’s fate writers” with proper finesse through the kind courtesies of their local stooges.

But will the people remain silent in that eventuality? Question could also be asked as to will the people settle for less this time around?

Nevertheless, the Nepali population is by and large a magnanimous one and thus to expect that they will come to the streets against their own “august leaders” who brought this change will be a self defeating exercise. Exhausted population we are now.

They do agitate but only after collecting enough energy. They agitate when told to agitate.

But this time, we appeal the silent majority to agitate and get back the monthly salaries pocketed by the 601 white elephants in the name of writing a new constitution which is less likely to be drafted.

These white elephants gulped some sixty billion rupees and the result is cipher.

Those CA members who rarely entered into the CA premises and did not contribute to the proceedings for all along these twenty two months, we have been told, pocketed monthly salaries and the CA accounts department remained a mere spectator to this broad day light Himalayan embezzlement.

Those who rarely visited the CA body have pocketed Himalayan amounts. A matter of Himalayan shame.

It remains to be seen as to what irrational and unbelievable lame excuse these white elephants will make to take the people in confidence once again and hide their shabby performances at the CA body which may tentatively result in the non-draft of the constitution. At least the time left is not enough to draft the constitution on time. Should the people go to the Apex Court and file a writ petition and demand the pocketed salaries back from the white elephants?

Will the Court in such an eventuality go by the will of the people? Let’s hope that the Supreme Court will listen to the common men’s plea in a sensible manner.

When enemies are in one’s own country then we need not import those from abroad.
