Nepal Govt must tell UNMIN to pack for good: INSEC Chief Subodh

TGW

Mr. Subodh Kumar Pyakurel, chairman of INSEC (Informal Sector Service Center), largest Human Rights Organization with offices in all 75 districts of Nepal has said that the UNMIN (United Nations Mission in Nepal) should be “whipped off” from Nepal as early as possible.

Mr. Pyakurel is also a senior leader of United Marxist Leninist party which is leading the current coalition government.

Pyakurel made these remarks while addressing a press meet in Dhangadi, Saturday, March 6, 2010.

“The UNMIN should work under the commands of Nepal government; if it rejects to provide details of the Militias to the government then it is of no use,” he said.

“The UNMIN must be told to pack its bags and take the first flight back home”, added Pyakurel.

“The government should declare the UNMIN chief Karin Landgren a persona non-grata”, he added.

He also claimed that under the UN supervision, history record reveals, peace has never been restored in any country across the world.

“There are examples world over that conflict has escalated more due to the presence of UN self styled peace keeping body,” he continued. “There is also the history that those countries have told the UN body to leave”, Pyakurel also claimed.
Definitely, Pyakurel is speaking the voice of the UML and by extension of the government.
Karin Landgren, the UNMIN Chief, is thus advised to pack in order to avoid further insult of her peace keeping body that, analysts presume, are in the pipeline.
The NC is not happy with the UNMIN. The Nepal Government is annoyed with the UNMIN. And now the UML cadres too have begun pouncing upon the UNMIN.
Isn't it the right time to poack for good?
A piece of advise only. Take it easy Ms. Karin!

Mr. Karan, anything is possible in Nepal except peace, prosperity and development.

Karin, throw this poor khaini-chewing UML man- in disguise of a Human Rights activist- some projects of USD 4,000- 5,000 only and he will start singing to your tunes. He is irate that he is not getting subsistence money. That's all.
