Pakistan donates Ambulances, Vans to Nepal hospitals
At a simple ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, the Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Syed Abrar Hussain handed over three vehicles to Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Dr. Madan Kumar Bhattarai.
The two fully equipped ambulances and a van have been donated as a gift from the Government and People of the Pakistan for use by Sunsari District Hospital Inurwa, Health Post Hadiya VDC, District Udaypur and Health Services and Relief Association, Nepal (HESRA), Kathmandu.
On the occasion, the Pakistan Ambassador Hussain said that this “small gesture of goodwill from the Government and people of Pakistan was indicative of excellent friendly relations between the two countries. He added that Pakistan would continue to provide such assistance in future also.
Nepal’s Foreign Secretary, Dr. Bhattarai thanked Pakistan’s Ambassador for the donation and said that the vehicles would prove very useful for the concerned organizations.
This has been stated in a press note issued by the Pakistan embassy dated 23 February, 2010.
