Military training to Nepal Citizens a must: Senior Maoist leader Bhattarai

TGW

The Unified Maoists’ Party that has been demanding formation of a new government under its own command has threatened that the constitution drafting process will not see timely conclusion unless their demand were met.

The former rebel party has also demanded that at least 30 Million of Nepalese must be provided with Military training to keep Nepali sovereignty intact.

“The local and foreign reactionaries have wrongly presumed that keeping Unified Maoists’ party having 40 per cent seats in the CA out of government the constitution could still be drafted…they are wrong in their calculations”, said the Unified Maoists’ Party vice chairman Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai while talking to journalists in Nepalgunj of Banke, Saturday February 6, 2010.

He also said that neither will the peace process see the desired conclusion nor the constitution drafting process amicably end by keeping our party out of the government structure.

“Let it be known that there will be no peace by alienating the party that has the largest peoples’ support”, he continued.

“To safeguard our national independence we must provide military training to some crores of Nepali citizens”, opined Bhattarai.'

While I strongly support a strong national defense force, I don't support government's high-handiness towards individual liberty, freedom and choice. Any form of involuntary action imposed by the government is a tyranny. The individual should have a free choice to join or not to join the army training. It should be a voluntary action. If this is what Dr Bhattarai is proposing, a voluntary recruitment for the training, I open heartedly support this effort but if it is a mandatory obligation, I don’t. Plus, it should be a pure defensive education and not politically induced ideological re-education. Another concept in our nation (USA) is the formation of Independent Militia. Each states maintain its own militia comprising of private citizens. These militias are more of a defense against the tyranny of a federal government. It is also our constitutional right. The idea of forming citizen militia is way out for a poverty stricken nation whose literacy rate is well below freezing point. However given an individual rights to bear arm, Nepalese would be quipped enough to defend their own life and property against all enemies domestic and foreign. Fight for your rights to bear arms. It is your god given inalienable rights. I am Dr. Ron Paul. For Liberty and Freedom. Another concept in our nation (USA) is the formation of Independent Militia. These blood suckers are really wanting to destroy the country and make it worse than any country in the world. To train more Nepalese with military training, for what? To fight with whom? Not long ago we almost became a Peace zone. Thanks to King Birendra and institution of Monarchy, who always wanted peace, prosperity in the country. All this miseary and suffering came to Nepali people from these terrorists Maoist. Still they are not satisfied with the blood of 15000 people. They want more and more. They have become Ghost now. What we need to have a good JHAKRI to chase them away. Enough is enough. How long we should tolerate these blood sucker PICHAS. Even Bhattarai has become mad. Now we all Nepalese must unite to stand against all these mad, corrupt politicians. No one has right to play with our future. If these bas..ds want to fight and kill, let them kill each other and satisfie their hunger for blood. I think even God are sleeping not to take them away from this world. Plz God open your eyes and punish them.

Dear Mr. Bhattarai, You may demand whatever you want... But let it be known, when it comes to the fate of nepali jantas...then it is us who decide what we do with our lives not not you. We still live in free nepal and we will decide, we the jantas and not the netas as whether we need military training or not!! THANK GOD THESE BAFFOONS ARE NOT IN POWER!!!

How about some training first to civilise jungalee comrades like yourself - what say you, Bhattarai babu? If that does not work, then we can provide LTTE-special-disposal-operation for you and your ilk - for absolutely free.
