RPP-RJP unity to strengthen Nationalism and Democracy: Thapa-Rana

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party led by Pashupati Shumer Rana and Rastriya Janashakti Party led by none other than veteran political persona, Surya Bahadur Thapa, today united under one flag, Saturday, February 6, 2010.

The statement released after the party unity, thus giving birth to Rastriya Shakti Prajatantra Party (RSPP), undersigned by Rana and Thapa declares that the unity was necessary to strengthen democratic forces and preserve nationalism in the country.

“In order to find a solution to the current political mess and to maintain political equilibriam, there is the urgent need to preserve our nationality, national interest, sovereignty, territorial integrity and democracy, which is possible through unity between democratic forces that adhere to similar ideologies”, the joint statement reads.

The statement also says that at present issues of Nepali Nationalism, National Unity and Territorial Integrity has become very sensitive and that there is also the threat to the democratic order due to rise of the political parties that have paramilitary structure.
