India bashing a mere drama staged by Nepal Maoists: Mani Thapa
Mani Thapa, a former Maoists’ leader has disclosed at a press meet held in Kathmandu, February 3, 2010, that almost all splinters of the Maoists’ party are becoming one single entity in the near future.
Thapa who is the leader of Revolutionary Left Wing and Revolutionary Maoists’ Party told journalists that even Jwala Singh, Goit and Matrika Yadav splinters will join hands with his party.
He did not disclose under whose behest the unity efforts were being carried out? Anyway what a revelation?
Completely unexpected scenario unless blessed by neighboring lords, if that happens in real sense. Let us wait and see!
Thapa as was expected of him heavily criticized the Unified Maoists’ Party and his former boss Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the press meet organized by Reporters Club in Kathmandu.
Thapa told journalists that the Unified Maoists’ party wants to keep the constitution drafting and peace process in shadow and thus there was the urgent need for anti-India movement to divert the attention.
“There is no point in the Maoists’ anti-India sloganeering”, he said adding “The 12-Point Agreement was made possible and election to the Constituent Assembly was held only because India was behind them on both occasions.”
