Oops Nobel Peace Prize and Koirala?
What could be more horrifying and disturbing news than this? Frustrating as it is, it is also ad nauseating information in itself.
Those who listened to this news through various media outlets the other day remained stunned as how could this happen? All the more how a lame duck government, an India elevated one by all means, could recommend the name of yet another declared India man-tip to toe-be nominated formally for being awarded the most prestigious award of our times, Nobel Peace Prize? Has the peace prize has become so common and lost its former gravity? Who knows!
Yes! Girija Prasad Koirala, the dictatorial President of the Nepali Congress party as his own party colleagues take him that way, has been adjudged by this government a capable and more so a peace loving leader of Nepal which he is not for this peace prize.
We are not against Koirala even if he is awarded this Peace prize tomorrow morning by the Nobel Peace Committee instead we will feel more delighted that at least one Nepali national( but Koirala was born in Saharsa district, India) has been taken proper note of by this Stockholm Committee and honored a Nepali gentleman. After all, Koirala ruled this country for decades and decades. Albeit, it is altogether a different matter that his rule may have benefited his henchmen and stooges but not the country.
However, care must be taken by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee prior to taking any such decisions because the award may go to the pockets of a Nepali who ever kept himself engaged in acts of nepotism, and spent much of his political career in either elevating his near and dear relatives to lucrative posts of the country or looking more to the political interests of the Indian establishment.
Koirala, the nominee of this Nobel Prize, has himself admitted that he was at one time was engaged in the trafficking of Uranium. He again admitted that while in exile in India, he used to print fake Indian currency. To boot, this man-Koirala, was the key man in engineering a Nepali Twin Otter Plane hijack (1975-76) which was flying from Biratnagar to Kathmandu with Nepal Rastra bank currency notes . The plane flew from Biratnagar but was within minutes diverted to Forbesgunj, India, and the money which amounted to the tune of some three million plus vanished in the Indian Territory the moment the plane landed there.
Koirala’s own party colleagues who hijacked this aircraft later admitted that the total money thus received became the private property of Koirala-the nominee of the Nobel Peace prize as recommended by the Nepalese government.
Koirala is the one who signed most controversial treaties with the Indian establishment but yet claimed that those were just “agreements”.
Koirala is such a democrat who has on several occasions defamed and has made irrelevant comments that could be taken as contempt of Court.
As regards Koirala’s contribution for restoring peace in the country is concerned, for which he has been recommended for this prestigious honor, one must recall that Koirala in effect did not bring peace in Nepal. It were the instructions from New Delhi that he had to land in Delhi and signed the so called India engineered, drafted, and sponsored peace agreement on November 22, 2005. The other signatories, above all, were the Nepal Maoists who too signed this peace agreement.
If some took this New Delhi overture as to have been the sole act of Koirala-the nominee of Nobel Peace Prize, then one must also take it as a negative peace which Koirala brought from Delhi as a gift to Nepal. The negative peace thus continues.
Koirala and Peace never go together, the past experiences suggest.
Having said all these, we once again tell the valued readers that we are not at all against Koirala receiving this award. We will be more than happy to listen to this hilarious news. However, as a media man, we think it to be our bounden duty to inform the Nobel Peace Prize Committee not to act in haste and better ask Koirala’s own party men whether he deserved this prestigious award or not?
The Stockholm Committee may ask , if it is at all needed, questions to Nepali academicians, scholars and the likes whether Koirala was the best person in Kathmandu for this prize?
Any way, we would wish to thank the Nepal government for having been able to locate Koirala for this prestigious award. After all, it is a question that is directly linked with the longevity of this government, if it were at all any.
Advanced congratulations to Koirala and his coterie that is reportedly preparing a resume of the would be recipient of this award.
Whether this Résumé Committee will add some of the contributions that Koirala made to this country, as mentioned above, will have to be carefully watched. That’s all.

You writer, see your face on mirror before you write something. Do you --- think you should get it. It is girija who delivered nepali junta MUKTI from RANA, SHAH and MAOBADI. When activity of one bring about joy and peace to life of many then he deserve Noble prize. Do you understand this? You idiot. Or do you think Pranchanda should get this. You are not nepali. Why hue and cry when one nepali is been forwarded to get this. It is our pride you writer. You are hell. You dont have any feeling. You narka who sees negative only. Hell to you
this would be so shamful if nepali NC leaders gets this nobel prize in the future. Now anobel priz is just a piece of cake and sweet. Girija must not got this prize ant any cost. He is No1 corrupted leader in nepal who is holding a criminal records in the past, he hijacked the plane with uge money in india, he has in black list in Dhamida and lauda cases in the past who was getting millions of rupees cash hand from the brookers. So, how can he gets this prize? Or Nobel prize committe members are mad and crazy? what a shamful for nobel peace commitee members? so shamful if nepa's NC leaders -the most corrupted leader in world called as GP Koirala.
I dont like Girija but the writer has a negative attitude. I have a kind suggestion to see the positive side of every one also. Yes, he did wrong most of the time when he was in power but the best thing he did is he brought Moaist in democracy line which is greatly appreciated. Writer pls behave like humane............
here is no value of Nobel prize if the prize go to this most orrupted and selfish nepali leader GP Koirala. Now adays obel prize is totally useless and just like from streets as this medalwas awarded to he US president without doing nothing, this prize is like a footbal and anyone can get it and this is no value nowdays. We nobel prize was given to Obama, US president we the world are not happy for his award and Obaman got so quickly and doing nothing for the world. So nobel prize is just likea dool and footbal wehere we can buy in any shop. GP Koirala must nt get this award and he must be rejected by Nobel prize commitee for the following reason:
1. He has many criminal records in the past.
2. He has selfish and nagetive attitude for the world
3. He has many corruption records in the past.
4. He is dishonest, looters, corrupted leader in nepal.
5. He is not reliable or he has don no thing to ge this prize, what ever he did in th pastjust did for hisself to get money for his pocket.
This will be so funny if he has nominated for this prize.
Hell behold this Machiavellian bahun getting this prize. Thank GOd they are now giivng it to those who promise to deliver but have not yet --as was the case with Obamba, who ad interim has extende the w ar to Afghanistan amd is hoping to go into Iran and Pakistan too sooner than later
No value for Nobel peace prize if given to people like girija. He is the only worst politician in the asia. No- respect for girija and no respect for Nobel committee if given to him.. Kali yug ayo justo cha....

It is not a Joke that the non-starter pro-Indian Council of Nepalese ministry decided to nominate for Nobel Peace Prize to Girija who is one of the culprit leaders of Nepali Congress. Everybody knows Girija is one of the traitors in Nepal. A scholar Bishal Shah says from UNN, USA, 25 Dec.2009- 'It is unfortunate that the Government of Nepal under Madhav Kumar Nepal decided to forward GP Koirala's name for the Nobel Peace Award. We had a different plan that is sending someone's name from the people's side during the Convention in New York. Anyway, our efforts will not be blocked by this stupid decision of MAKUNE government to prize the First Terrorist of Nepal. GPK is the first terrorist as per the International Law because any hijackers are considered to be the terrorist.' In 1991, Girija Prasad Koirala became the Prime Minister. After becoming the premier, Koirala Congressionized the nation’s administrative management and introduced several, plans and pilfered state coffers. Koirala until 1994, sold 12 organizations and industries contributed by China, taking millions as commission. He drained the nation’s economy through the Boeing, Damija and Lauda scams in the name of suppressing communist- the suppression impelled Maoist revolution. It is a habit of Koirala to support the King when he retains the post and jump in opposition against King after being removed from the post. Koirala who became Prime Minister every now and then through many conspiracies became PM once again after 2005 by treading on the Constitution and riding on Maoist shoulders. We had believed he would not repeat the past mistakes while working. No one can succeed by breaking the agreement. On 24, April, 2006, the people’s uprising came to a stop after an agreement was reached between the monarchy, NC and UML and Maoist included. The agitators were pleading for monarchy as an alternative force in times of crisis. An agreement was reached to reinstate the House of Representatives, which was dissolved under NC recommendation four years ago, although the monarchy did not posses the right to reinstate it. The monarchy reinstated the parliament and appointed Girija Prasad Koirala to the post of premiership. The oath of office ceremony of Prime Minister was given by the king himself in the royal palace premises. Gradually, the agreement reached with the king was broken and the royal institution attacked, which is a work of huge betrayal. A political agreement 24 April, 2006-a political betrayal .After reaching the state power Koirala declared secularism and republic to perish Nepal’s identity. Traitors never become positive. A well-known journalist, the editor of Peoples Review, Mr. Puspha Raj Pradhan writes-'Nepal government has recommended Girija;s name for the Nobel Prize, perhaps considering his contribution in destroying democracy and reaching the country to the present vulnerable stage. Rampant corruption and commission like enemies of democracy were intensified during his tenure.' Now, his characterless daughter Sujata Koirala (Jost-German citizen), who had appointed Vice-PM and foreign minister forcefully, is bargaining for his father's Nobel Prize in the Nepalese Embassies and international posts. Girija Prasad Koirala, the leader of Nepali Congress, is never true and honest towards democracy. They only made democracy as a begging bowl for their conveniences. It is a matter of regret that Girija has been toeing on the agenda and guidelines of the India and this has posed danger to the country's existence. Nepali Congress and Girija used to boast the constitution of the 1990 as the best in the world have rubbed out the provisions they said were unalterable. However, no constitution is good or bad and it only depends on the people who implement it. If there was any fault in the constitution of1990, it could have been altered and amended. But Girija is rearing to break up the country by talking about federal, autonomous and ethnic states with Maoist for his pretty interest. He is power hunger and money minded. India has been troubling Nepal since democracy was established in Nepal. The unequal treaty of 1950 and the provision of constituent assembly tied up with the Delhi Agreement were legal means to paralyze Nepal and it is still continuing the same ploy. Girija is one of the agent of India. The congress leaders, Girija Prasad Koirala himself has revealed in his biography published in Nepal weekly and Kantipur TV that they hijacked in 1973, printed fake Indian currency and smuggled heroin all with Indian help. This culprit has become the prime minister of the country with the help of the Maoists. Like the portrayed Lendhup Dorje to gobble up Sikkim, the agenda of the constituent assembly is the pretext of RAW by making the leaders of so-called big parties including Girija to stand on its behalf. The communists also have fallen into the Indian trap and treading on the path of treachery and treason against the country.Congress leader Girija P. Koirala who put the country at stake. He is one of the great culprits in Nepal. What magic wand these parties and the leaders, who had utterly failed when there was cooperation from every side, now have that one can believe they can shore up the country from these problems. Former Nepali Congress leader BP Koirala used to say: 'The state of Nepal cannot remain without monarchy and even socialism can co-exist with monarchy in Nepal.' Similarly, on the ethnic issue, BP Koirala used to say, 'To incite and instigate Madhesi, Pahadi, Rai, Limbu and others in the name of ethnicity is an act of treachery against the country. What might be the strategy of Hindustan it wants to weaken us? Won't it adopt this strategy?' But Girija Prasad had left behind BP's principle and it is going on the path of Maoist. Senior journalist Mr. Yubraj Ghimire writes–The nation is sinking due to selfishness of few party leaders. Marjory accused person is Girija Prasad Koirala. Both the movements of 1950-1990 were for the establishment of parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarchy. Apart to this, people were not participated. Mr. Girija Prasad Koirala had cupidity for President, as suggested by Maoists through Shekhar Koirala and Krishna Sitaula. Mr Koirala with such greed abandoned the principles and beliefs. (Rajdhani, 17th July 2009. Similarly, Yubaraj Ghimire wrote (Indian Express-17th Jun.2009) – 'Nepal’s Prime Minister G P Koirala was involved in manufacturing counterfeit Indian currency notes when he was in political exile in India in the early 1970s. This startling disclosure has been made by Koirala himself in a weekly TV interview series on his past political activities. Appearing on Kantipur Television, Koirala, in another interview, claimed that R N Kao, then chief of India’s external intelligence agency RAW, had given him the green signal to hijack a Nepal Airlines plane with the promise that nothing would be done to him. Koirala led a team of Nepali Congress leaders who hijacked a Nepal Airlines flight from Biratnagar to Kathmandu in June 1973 and took away four million rupees meant for the Rashtra Bank. Not only did he reveal his involvement in the counterfeit currency racket, Koirala also claimed that all this happened with the knowledge and consent of B P Koirala, the legendary socialist leader and Nepal’s first elected Prime Minister. G P Koirala is the younger brother of B P Koirala who died in 1982. Koirala said he had hired experts to produce counterfeit currency notes when he was in political exile with his brother BP in India after 1968. He claimed that everything was done with the consent of B P Koirala who was then living in Sarnath, UP-India. Giving a graphic account, G P Koirala said he first came into contact with people in the counterfeit currency trade in Forebesganj in Bihar. Once he was convinced about their expertise to produce indistinguishable fake currency notes, he engaged them.' Is it not misuse Novel Award? Central member of Nepali Congress Mr Devendra Nepali accuses Mr Koirala saying- he did nothing even when country and party was sinking. He imposed Maoist agendas like republic, secularism, federalism and constituent assembly through back door. The country is facing the consequences. Republic and federalism are the factors to split and destroy the country. (Kantipur, 22nd July 2009. So, I request to all to send the message in the particular place and website. We must oppose Girija Prasad Koirala's name is withdrawn from Nobel Peace Prize Award to European and American UN Org. Thank you. Dirgha Raj Prasai dirgharajprasai@gmail.com
