Magarat and Tamuwan States Declared in Nepal, More in Pipeline

TGW

The Unified Maoists party on Thursday December 17, 2009, declared two more autonomous States in the Western Hilly region of the country.

The Autonomous States of Magarat and Tamuwan were declared on Thursday, December 17, 2009.

The Magarat State comprises of the districts of Palpa, Gulmi, Myagdi, Baglung, Rolpa, Rukum, Salyan, Pyuthan and Argakhachi.

Ram Bahadur Thapa alias Badal, the General Secretary of the ex-rebel party, made one thing very clear while declaring the Magarat Autonomous region in Tansen of Palpa District wherein he stated that the Declaration of Federal States by the Maoists’ Party was not just a publicity oriented programme but it was done to practice Federalism in real sense.

The statement Badal made was in sharp contradiction of what the party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, vice chairman Baburam and the other Maoists’ leaders have been uttering of late.

Mr. Badal was also of the opinion that the significance of the 12-Point New Delhi Forced Agreement has ceased to exist or say had become redundant thus there was the need for similar yet another agreement to be signed right here in the country, Nepal, to solve the impending political crises.

On the other hand, Unified Maoists’ Party senior Leader Mr. Dev Gurung declared the Autonomous State of Tamuwan in Pokhara of Kaski District.

The Maoists’ party had brought huge crowd from the surrounding districts to participate in the ceremony, though eyewitness reports claim, visibly there was the low participation of Tamu ethnic group for reasons unknown.

The Maoists’’ State of Tamuwan comprises of the Districts of Kaski, Tanahu, Syangja, Lamjung, Gorkha, Parbat, Manang and Mustang.

These gurilla group have nothing else to do and are wasting everyones time. They do not even know that time is money and it is more precious for everyone other than gurillas. As if their declarations mean anything!! If I could declare every pretty woman my wife, things would be different!! Quit dreaming gurillas, find something worthwhile to do. You guys have not only become meaningless, you are worthless even to talk about. If those cantonments were functional toilets, I would flush you all. Gutter is where you belong to.
