Army defuse explosives at RPP-Nepal office

TGW

Nepal Army’s Bomb Defuse Unit, Saturday November 28, 2009, deactivated two bombs planted at the Rastriya Prajatanra Party-Nepal central secretariat located in Tudal Devi, Kathmandu.

Eyewitness report reveal that a socket bomb planted inside the Party Secretariat Premises and one Pipe Bomb fixed outside was defused by the Special Squad of the Nepal Army.

Reports quote Binaya Raj Sharma, a Police official in Kathmandu as saying that a pamphlet of Unified Ethnic Rebel Group was recovered from the site.

Bishwakranti, the spokesperson of the Ethnic Group confirmed to the media that the group had indeed planted the explosives at the RPP-N office.

“The government has so far failed to take penal actions against the forces that have become a threat to the Republican order and Federalism”, said Bishwakranti, reports reveals.

“We will take physical actions against those forces time permitting”, he added.

The RPP-Nepal, a pro-monarchist party led by Mr. Kamal Thapa has been demanding plebiscite over Federalism, Secularism and Republic.
