Nepal Monarchy may bounce back, if Political mess continued: Kamal Thapa

TGW

Kamal Thapa, the chairman of the Rastriya Prajatanra Party-Nepal, has opined that the leaders of major political parties of Nepal would hold consensus only if their petty political interests are served.

Mr. Thapa told point blank that even if consensus is reached between the political actors, it would not be in favor of drafting the constitution and logical conclusion of the peace process.

Mr. Thapa addressing an interaction program in the capital, November 17, 2009, also said that the leaders would find amity only if their personal interests get served.

“Thus, it is highly unlikely that the countrymen would get their new constitution on time as promised”, Thapa said adding that if the current political mess continued it is only a matter of time that the monarchy would stage a grand comeback.

“With Peace Process halted and Constitution drafting process in complete disarray, the monarchy will regain its lost stature”, declared Thapa serving a sort of advance warning to the political parties.

“There are two parallel armies in the country…the one that is more powerful will run the country”, Thapa also predicated.

Perhaps he was hinting at the prevalence of the Nepal Army.

When asked if he was in favor of return of monarchy Thapa replied, “The question is not that the monarchy will stage a comeback or not…if the present mess continued for long, it is likely that it will bounce back”.

“Politics is the art of possible…isn’t it”, Mr. Thapa who is a Political Science graduate, T.U, told the journalists in a beaming mood.

He opined that with the political parties getting involved in a never-ending brawl, the need of monarchy is being felt by the common men.

If the nation needs the Monarchy they must avail themselves to serve the country. If people ask them to serve the people they must listen to people.

Dedication to nation, people and democracy, bringing the factual issues that carried reality and true feeling of majority of people and their sentiments,is,in any case,no one could blindly term as a crime and motivated mind.Wishing to see united,multi-cultered,religious and democratic Nepal as well as try to assist in obtaining unity among the diversity,is solely an act of great contribution and dedication to motherland for what no charge otherway could be lebeled in order to discourage and hate true and an honest professional. Its a duty of all nationalist democratic forces to protect nation's integrity, sovereignty, unity and its prosperous democratic future.Let's pray Almighty Lord for giving us wise and right sense to serve nation in constructive ways. Jay Nepal !

After all, there's no alternative than to reinstate the most needed institution of monarchy, which is long-term fate of independent and united Nepal. How could it be possible to expect the best and fruitful result out of applying the idea and advise of external force. The result would be naturally disruptive and disappointing if the dealing is based on unnatural and unholy concept. The much talked and widely circulated so called 12 points agreement, which also named Delhi accord, was not the sole product of Nepalis,it was the product of external force brought with the intention of destroy this proud nation. So,how could the result would be contributory in bringing sustainable peace, prosparity and democrcatic future in the country. The medication of current and future deseases could only be cured through the only joint-effort of people and monarchy.Role of guardian with symbol of unity to Institution of Monarchy and executive powers to run the state-affairs to people's elected representatives,is the only sustainable solution to sort out the problems facing by this great nation.May Almight Lord give good sense and feeling of patriotrism to all ! Jay Nepal !
