Reactionaries plot to dissolve Nepal CA and impose Prez Rule: Bamdev

TGW

Bam Dev Gautam, one of the senior leaders of the ruling United Marxist Leninists Party has said that reactionaries were hatching conspiracies from the dark corners to dissolve the Constituent Assembly and impose presidential rule in the country.

Mr. Gautam who was addressing a gathering of UML Cadres in Bharatpur, Chitwan November 13, 2009, maintained that those reactionaries would never come to the forefronts who have been favoring dissolution of the Constituent Assembly.

Mr. Gautam extending support to the ongoing Unified Maoists’ Party led agitation said that it was the inherent right of the people to organized protests.

“I am certain that the Nepal Army will extend its support to the successful conclusion of the peace process”, said Mr. Gautam adding however the Defense Minister has no right to claim that the comprehensive peace agreement has hindered the normal operation of the Nepal Army.

Mr. Gautam was criticizing Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, the incumbent minister for defense and a UML leader for her remark demanding amendment in some clauses of the Peace Agreement for smooth operation of the Nepal Army.

“The Comprehensive Peace Agreement has not affected negatively anyone as such, and thus we all need to abide by the agreement in the its entirety”, he said adding that rather the activities of the political parties have themselves threatened to derail the peace process.

To recall, Mr. Gautam, October 21, 2009, bluntly told a Kathmandu gathering that if the constitution was not drafted on the stipulated time then the now sidelined King will be forced to bounce back to power.

Bam Dev the great!!!! You were home minister and your party activists were killed, harrased, bitten, legs and hands were chopped, but you were like a mute monkey in Dahal's cabinet. The culprtis were Maoists, you were not ashmed to announce Dahal does not allow to take action, instead of resigning in such situation you were enjoying life and now praising same Dahal.
