Indian leadership suspects Nepal Maoist’s credentials: Khanal

TGW

Finally, the United Marxist Leninists Chairman Jhal Nath Khanal has come to the rescue of the UN body in Nepal.

The India elevated 22- Party led coalition government of Nepal had criticized the Situation report presented by the Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon at the UNSC (United Nations Security Council) meeting held October 26, 2009, dubbing it as an interference in the internal matters of Nepal.

Mr. Ban had fervently asked the Nepali political parties to form a national unity government in order not to aggravate the political situation in the country that may hinder the constitution drafting process and the logical conclusion of the peace process.

After completing a weeklong trip to New Delhi and receiving blessings from the Indian deities, Mr. Khanal returned home, November 11, 2009, and while talking to the journalists at the Tribhuwan International Airport he said that he and his party had been favoring a National Unity Government in Nepal.

“It is not just Mr. Moon who favors National Unity Government in Nepal…immediately, after the conclusion of the Constituent Assembly elections our party had forwarded the idea”, he said adding, “It is indeed a welcome statement coming from one of our foreign friend.”

“It is not interference at all as is being given to understand”, he also said.

At yet another plane, Mr. Khanal disclosed that India would not want to see a Constitution that would be of the Maoists’ preference.

Million dollar revelation indeed!

Interestingly, Mr. Upendra Yadav, the chairman of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum had said upon his return to Kathmandu after the New Delhi pilgrimage that India would not want to see a Constitution that would be of the Communist’s likening.

Khanal also claimed that India was still not fully confident of the Maoists’ credentials.

“I found out that India was negative towards the activities and policies adopted by the Maoists’ party”, Khanal told the journalists.

“India also suspects that the Maoists in Nepal have working relations with the Indian Maoists”, Khanal told the journalists.
By the way, Khanal's positive remarks made as regards the UNSG statement must hav come as a soother to the UN body.

I feel ashamed to hear and see you delivering diktats of your masters .Shame on you and I had some hope with you but with time you went very far away beyond a normal human being can imagine. Congress of Nepal can have relation with Congress-I of India then why can't Maoists of Nepal have relation with Maoists of India or any other nation ? It is but natural .They are in the process of annexing Nepal for which Maoists have raised voice against them and making antiindian speeches which are but very pragmatic. No other had ever revealed the intention and anti NEpal activities carried out by India .Some Indian ministers have even claimed Nepal is India's colony in open theatre and similarly when India is evacuating Nepalese from their own land ,kicking them brutally but our PM and ministers proclaming no Nepali land has been encroached by India !Mr Khanal did you raise these issues or you just put Indian coin on their feet and bowed them for blessings? Though Nepali nature can't fully accept Maoists ideology but the issues raised by them are genuine and no other can have courage to raise them. Present parties and leaders will make Nepal and Nepalese slaves of Indian masters. But from non political point of view we have great amiable bond in the field of spirituality ( not religion because it has become scapegoat of politics) ,culture and so forth.

Five questions

alt No design to corner Maoists
Pashupati Shumser Rana , Chairman, Rastriya Prajatantra Party
Political polarization is not there as yet. To remind you, the Maoists have come only after a people’s war but not the rest of the political parties. It could be this factor which may have brought or to come to surface certain differences with the Maoists over some political issues. More..
