Attack on UNMIN continues, Nepal Govt likely to summon Karin

TGW

Karin Landgren, the Special emissary of the Secretary-General in Nepal and head of the UNMIN with her return to Kathmandu will be immediately summoned by the government of Nepal.

Nepal’s Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Mr. Rakam Chemjong informed the press men that the Situation report presented by the Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon at the UNSC (United Nations Security Council) meeting held October 26, 2009, was totally a biased one and thus the need to summon Ms. Landgren for further interrogation.

The coalition partners of the ruling alliances have been blaming that the Situation Report submitted by Karin was completely in favor of the Unified Maoists’ Party which ignored the role played by the government in addressing key issues of the peace process.

Mr. Chemjong was talking to the pressmen at an interaction program organized by Reporters Club in Kathmandu, November 8, 2009, who also advised the UNMIN to halt supporting the Unified Maoists unnecessarily.

“With her return to Kathmandu, we will straight talk to her”, said the minister.

“It is not in the manmade of UNMIN to make political statements and provide directives to the government of Nepal, instead it should focus on monitoring the weapons of the Nepal Army and the Maoists’ Militias”.

No just the UNMIN, said the minister, any other country in the name of supporting Nepal possess no right to interfere in Nepal’s exclusive internal matters.

“We will not accept any statements made by the foreigners that tantamount to interference”, the minister concluded.

Dear editor, We know the intention of UNMIN is very bad. Nepalese people had expected that the UN's role would be impartial. But the UN could not remain neutral. The UNMIN listens only to the Maoist rebels and the corrupt leaders of the so-called big party totally disregarded the aspiration of majority of the Nepalese people. These treacherous leaders of Congress (Girija Prasad), UMA ( Madhab nepal ( present PM of Nepal) Jhalanath, Bamdev & Maoist ( Prachanda, Baburam Bhattarai- almost culprit Brahmans), parties have become the stooges of the foreigners as they are finishing off the prestige of the country by disregarding the worth of the Supreme Court and defaming the national army. From the very beginning, UNMIN has been demoralizing Nepal Army and supporting Maoist and its rebel by allowing them to keep the weapons with them in the cantonment and let them start the youth force (YCL), who can be the law and order itself as they used to do during their revolution. Nowhere in the world, would a country be able to protect its sovereignty by making the national army weak and powerless? The national army can't compare with Maoist's army. Now, in Nepal, we have two kinds of army- the national army and the Maoist's army. Can we imagine two kinds of army in a country? Why UNMIN is not responsible for the overall management and supervision of Maoist army and their movement? It is the matter of grief for all. The intention of UN and its Org. UNMIN, is to destroy all the identities of Hindus & Buddhists to proclaim Christian state with the help of Maoist's army. So, we are feeling, the Virus of UNMIN is more dangerous than Swine flu. Thank you. Dirgha Raj Prasai
