Nepal UML leader Khanal receives blessings from Indian deities

TGW

Jhal Nath Khanal, the all powerful Chairman of the ruling United Marxist Leninists’ Party, who is currently in the New Delhi pilgrimage took blessings from several known and unknown Indian deities, November 5, 2009.

Khanal met Indian Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna, Home Minister P. Chidambaram and the General Secretary of the Indian Communist Party, N.B. Bardhan on Thursday.

Reports being made available from the Indian capital-the administrative seat of Nepal- have it that in all the meets, the Indian leaders pin pointed that unity and consensus was imperative to institutionalize democratic order, draft constitution and conclude peace process, with the Unified Maoists’ Party included.

Home Minister P. Chidambaram found some one hour time from his busy schedule to talk to the UML chairman.

Khanal is taken in Nepal as a Communist with China bend.

Experts opine, except expressing support for Nepal’s peace process, Mr. Chidambaram would have also taken note of security threats to India emerging from Nepal, mainly with the increase of the Chinese interests in Nepal which has already become an Indian protectorate.

The question is does India need to talk to a dozen Nepali politicos just to wish success to the faltering peace process of Nepal?

They could have told all these “nice advices” through telephone itself to our Indo-pendent leaders.

Surya Bahadur Thapa, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Jhala Nath Khanal and Upendra Yadav are some to the top politicos of Nepal who have been accorded red carpet welcome in India only freshly.

But why and at what cost?

Chidambaram on his meet with Khanal told that India wish to see a stable and prosperous Nepal.

A cruel joke indeed!
