India’s Loss is China’s Gain

Editorial

As you sow, so will you reap, says an old adage which is excessively popular in this part of the world-South Asia.

The Indian regime committed a sort of Himalayan blunder by providing shelter and other logistics to the Nepal Maoists for all along some good eight plus years. The Maoists upon landing in Kathmandu’s politics emerged as strong nationalists, albeit with some shortcomings.

The reasons were abundantly clear as to why it-India- extended its support to the then ex-rebels who were fighting with the State more so against the then ruling sovereign-King Gyanendra. To extract greater political gains after the exit of the Nepali monarchy.

The Indian idea and fervent desire was to dislodge the Nepal King for he had visibly irritated India by playing China card which ultimately, fortunately or even unfortunately, brought China to the forum of the SAARC Regional body as an observer. China since then remains as an observer at the regional body which later in all facilitated the Northern neighbor to flex its “friendly” muscles and the current situation has been that one has to ask oneself as to where is not the grand presence of China? China is adored in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. China has its grand presence in Bangladesh and Nepal has already become the main hub of China from wherein she apparently wants to eye the entire South Asian region which is only but natural for a country that knows and understands the value of friendship with its immediate neighbors. These countries in some way or the other extended warn invitation to China in their respective countries which had become too urgent for obvious reasons.

It is said that China borders with some fourteen different sovereign nation, however, she has no border disputes with any of the countries that border with the mighty would-be power.

Nepali analysts presume that the loss of the Indian regime in South Asia is the net gain for China albeit by default. However, India wants to lose more and thus been poking its nose in each and every country’s affairs uninvited. India concludes that she deserved the inherent right to interfere into the matters of other sovereign nation because they were smaller ones and thus must remain subservient to her nefarious colonial mindset diktats. India even keeps herself engaged in “making and the breaking” of governments in the immediate neighborhood. Nepal is in her pocket. Nepal is like a football for her. She has the right to roll it or make it to fall from a comfortable high sky.

It is these nefarious and ugly acts of the Indian regime more so those who keep it running that has boomeranged on India itself time and again which have, for sure, facilitated the Chinese regime to rightly behave with its immediate neighbors and the present reality is that the regime in the North has already entered into the domain of politics of each and every country belonging to this region.

China knows as to how to treat its neighbors. Chinese diplomacy is superb and it is this fair “conduct” between nations in the neighborhood that provides some comfort to the smaller neighbors who have been ill-treated by the Southern neighbor that is India-the former British Colony. To the extent that the smaller nations that are housed in the SAARC regional body feel that they were now safe with the entrance of the Chinese regime in the regional organization for some obvious political reasons.

A piece of million dollar advice to the Indian authorities from the Nepal analyst’s side which is for free.

The Indian regime and those who run this Goliath in the South must now begin soul searching exercise and find out the prime reason as to why the smaller neighbors love to hate India? Respect and honor friends in the vicinity. That’s all. Don’t behave like a Hegemon. Hegemony is what is being disliked by the smaller neighbors.

Analysts here can’t say of other countries, or even if we know it would not be ethical to forward comments in an whimsical manner, however, as regards Nepal what can be said that the Indian interference is so high that the word “interference or for that intervention” fall short to describe the ugly and most hated penetration that India has on this India-locked country.

Rest assured, the Indian infiltration would further increase in the days and months ahead and such penetration would depend on the scale of the Chinese increasing friendship with Nepal.

The stage is thus set for the two local super economic giants to make their grand presence felt in Nepal.

How these unfortunate and failed leaders will balance these two forces at a time will be no hilarious drama to watch in the chaotic years that surely lay ahead of all the Nepalese.

The two, in some way or the other, have already secured and ensured their political space in Nepal through the kind courtesies of their friends and by extension stooges including paid media men as well.

The first one is here since all along early 1950s and the new entrant has just come into but with an earthshaking big bang sending spine chilling waves in the vertebral columns of the other side that is India.

By and large, Nepal is the prime loser by all means if she lacked the needed political and diplomatic acumen in balancing or say handling its relations with these two countries.

However, such a presence of the two giants could bring about enormous economic benefits to this country as well provided the Nepalese leaders act what is demanded of them in that eventuality.

The message is loud and clear.

I know the individuals who run the newspaper and this portal belong to Surya Bahadur Thapa, who is more loyal to India than Girija Koirala is. This type of editorial from a person being paid regularly by the indian embassy is not surprising.

I am a Nepali and i would say .. India. Looking at most of the above comments that threatens Nepal, I believe they are made by indian agents. because they dont say I am Nepali at the start. so i would ask every Nepali to ... india and those commenting Indians. India got freedom from british with help of Nepal as well. so beware if Nepal wants they can break you again on your north east side by extending border upto bangladesh as was before sugauli treaty

The Nepali people obviously cannot govern themselves so they should allow India or China to give it a try.

For Nepal, it is India that has brought about this situation where Nepal is compelled to bring the dragon China into the scene. Look what India has done in Nepal- right from supporting maoist in the eight years war agains Nepal.Toppling the monarchy when it saw that it was not working in its favour.Nepalese should feel the wake up call to unite against this once-colonised nation India and give them a taste of what freedom and independence means. How many friends does india have in its neighbour? No one ! perhaps Nepal is its only friend that too it tries to stab it in the back all the time - and the illiterate bribed CA members who are sitting there in assembly either do not comprehend the reprecurssion or are totally ignorant about it. India needs Nepal as much as Nepal needs India. India should forget that it is the only big brother that is around. You have a Big Daddy that has emerged from the shadow- which is China !!

Most of the comments here are given by RAW payrolls. Try to make your home in order first where 20 states have waved war against loot of colonial mindset. Misery endured by the Peoples of Khalistan, Assam plus NE, Sikkim, and India Occupied Kashmir(IOK)shows the intension of fake democracy. STOP ENCROACHING and INTERFEARING NEPAL.

There are some chinese agents in Nepal who are very much active in ruining cultural, social and friendly relationship of Nepal with India. The People of Nepal and India should be aware of them.

Nepal has a choice. Does she want to be the next Tibet, East-Turkistan, Inner-mongolia, Manchuria. Look at sikkim and Bhutan, peaceful and prosperity.

There is a large segment of the Nepali people who RESENT India treating Nepal as a colony to be used and abused. And if India decides on another economic blockade (like in 1990), then there are other options.

let me say that, I understand you guys has a lot of problem from India, why the hell you expect from India to be beneficial for you, You had to take either of side you took, you played your own games by playing either India card to China or China card to India, you must keep that in mind if India loses you then you are one several neighbors India has , but if you lose us then we are you "ONLY" second neighbor.mind it. and more accessible then china by route, you guys are begging to china rail route to be extended up to nepal, well be there. you have tarnished image of India... we dont care, why should we care who are you? China is already in our all border one more nation ... but saying this inflammatory you are not making nepali people's image better, ultimately only time will tell about your future.
