Don’t drag Nepal Prez into Political Controversy: Dr. Shekhar Koirala

TGW

Dr. Shekhar Koirala, a Surgeon turned politico addressing a gathering in Lamjung, took the Maoists to task during his tentative one hour long speech.

He said, “To abide by the Constitution and Rule of Law is what we call Civilian Supremacy.”

“The notion of Civilian Supremacy should not become a ploy to grab power only”, Dr. Shekhar said.

“We are lagging behind to fulfill our prime duties, drafting constitution on time and to bring logical end to the peace process”, Dr. Koirala added.

Ridiculing the Maoists’ proposal to correct the unconstitutional decision of President made May 3, 2009, said Dr. Koirala, “The Nepali Congress will not allow the Maoists to drag the President into political controversies.”
