Self styled Messiah of Nepal Madhesh are Traitors: Yadav

TGW

The Chairman of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum, Mr. Upendra Yadav clearly sees conspiracies being designed by the ruling coalition partners to dissolve the Constituent Assembly.

Mr. Yadav, former minister for foreign affairs, addressing a mass meeting organized by his party in Pokhariya of Parsa District, Thursday October 16, 2009, said that the main reason for the parties delaying the drafting of the New Constitution for the country was their ploy to dissolve the Constituent Assembly.

He threatened, “The MJF will take on the path to revolt if the Constitution drafting was not completed on time.”

He also opined that the incumbent government led by Mr. Madhav Kumar Nepal was an out an out anti-Madhesi government.

“No matter, yet, our demand for declaring the entire Tarai as sovereign Madhesh state remains intact,” he said adding that “the Federal Model of Governance pose no threat to the territorial integrity of the country rather it will further strengthen the country.”

While he termed the self declared messiah of the Madhesh of the likes of Hridayesh Tripathi, Mahanta Thakur, Rajendra Mahatao and Bijaya Kumar Gacchedhar as traitors, Mr. Yadav said, “These are the bunch of people who have betrayed the Madhesi population in their lust for power.”

“The Madhesi parties that are currently partnering the government are the slaves of Madhav Kumar Nepal and Girija Prasad Koirala”, he continued.

In his one hour long speech Mr. Yadav, a former Maoists’ leader, did not criticize the Maoists’ Party.

This has some meaning underneath perhaps.

Political polarization is not there as yet. To remind you, the Maoists have come only after a people’s war but not the rest of the political parties. It could be this factor which may have brought or to come to surface certain differences with the Maoists over some political issues. More..
