Indian envoy to Nepal in Mustang

TGW

Rakesh Sood, the Indian ambassador to Nepal is landing in Mustang today, October 9, 2009, say reports.

Mr. Sood is accompanied by his brother and officials from the Indian Embassy in Nepal, reports add.
It has also been reported that the Indian envoy is scheduled to visit the Upper Mustang region.

The Upper Mustang region was the main spot for the Tibetan Khampa Revolt of 1975 that was suppressed by the then Nepal regime, then under late King Birendra.

It is widely believed that the CIA was behind the Khampa Revolt, with the Khampa rebels trained by the Indian regime. However, the CIA engagement in such a nasty act remains yet to be substantiated.

Few months back, the erstwhile US ambassador to Nepal, Nancy J. Powell had visited the region, suspected by the media here in Nepal, as intended to fuel yet another revolt of the sort of Khampa against the Chinese regime.

Sometime later, the Finnish Charge d’ Affairs too visited the same region.

The Indian envoy will inaugurate a public school built through the financial assistance of the Indian government.

India, has of late, been heavily investing in the northern part of Nepal, mainly areas close to the Chinese border. The reason, understandably, is to destabilise Chinese autonomous region-Tibet.

To add, amid growing fear that Upper Mustang region could once again turn into a venue for anti-China activities, Nepal’s Home Minister Bhim Rawal had recently visited the region.

The Chinese side has time and again suggested the government in Nepal that the area could turn into a breeding ground for anti-China elements and thus has very feshly demanded that strict vigilance be maintained in and around Mustang. The Nepal government too has tried of late to understand the Chinese sensitivity. But will that work? Forget it!
How the Chinese regime, nevertheless, reacts to this new design will have to be carefully watched?

Engulf this deadly .... as soon as possible or be for sure that Nepal is on the process of being annexed into India. Deadliest virus whose vaccine is only on the hands of nationalists from Nepal.

Political polarization is not there as yet. To remind you, the Maoists have come only after a people’s war but not the rest of the political parties. It could be this factor which may have brought or to come to surface certain differences with the Maoists over some political issues. More..
