Indian FS Rao advised Maoists to form new Nepal Govt: Gajurel

TGW

Refuting the Indian allegation that Nepal was turning into a safe haven for Indian Maoists, said one of the Maoist senior leaders of Nepal that India’s former comrade in arms were not using the Nepali territory to launch an attack on India.

The Indian foreign security Nirupama Rao in her meeting with Nepal’s Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Home Minister Bhim Rawal on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, in Kathmandu had emphatically claimed that the Indian Maoists have been using the Nepali territory to launch attack on India.

Mrs. Rao was referring to a fresh remark of the Indian Prime Minister Dr. Man Mohan Singh who had openly declared that Nepal was also becoming safe sanctuary for anti-Indian elements including the Indian Maoists.

The Nepal Maoists’ party secretary, C. P. Gajurel who was freshly sacked from the position of the chief of the International Bureau of the party, said that Mrs. Rao’s concerns over Indian security have made us very serious.

However, he rebuked the Indian assertion that the Indian Maoists were using the Nepali territory against India.

Making an interesting revelation, Mr. Gajurel said that during their meeting with the Indian Foreign Secretary Mrs. Nirupama Rao, “had told us to look for an alternative to the present government led by Madhav Kumar Nepal”.

“She had made similar remarks while meeting leaders of our party”, revealed Mr. Gajurel.

A million dollar revelation indeed.

India is, thus, playing double with Nepal parties. India is thus blowing hot and cold concurrently. This has abundant meaning underneath, claim nepal's sharp brains.
This does mean that India does not want to corner the Nepal Maoists.

This Indian game! Smart but naked politics indeed.

Mr. Gajurel was talking to the press at a program organized by Jansanchar Abhiyan, September 16, 2009.

Mr. Gajurel, who is often blamed for Maoists' to have dampened relations with India was replaced by Mr. Krishna Bahadur Mahara as the chief of the International Bureau.

Mr. Mahara is close to both India and China. He is interestingly very friendly to Pakistan as well as he on August 14, 2009, highly praised Jinnah at a program organized by Friends of Pakistan in Nepal. A rare utterance by any Nepali leader in the recent memory who have had abundant praise for the architect of Pakistan.

However, how Mahara has been successfully maintaining this proximity between the two giants remains a mystery?

May be he has developed this political acumen in the recent months. He deserves appreciation then.

India had not allowed Nepalese maoists to its soil.Rather the Govt. of India had failed to arrest their illegal activities from its soil like it has failed to contain the fast growing menace of the Indian maoists in the country. Nepalese sovereignty is at risk like tibbet. We Indians are too weak to save you. Politicians of our both countries are too greedy fo power to wellness of the people. please don't be diverted towards blame game (on India or so). We should think of good governance rather than anything else. I would like to suggest fo presidential form of Govt. in boyh of our countries on the pattern of USA's. It should strictly followed that no person would be allowed to remain 'President' for more than two terms.

It does not matter what India does. As long as we get peace and these maoists killed, its ok. Its ok even if Indian Maoists use Nepal as their base and destroy India, as long as they do not destroy Nepal.

ha,ha ha, look who is speaking, after all Maoist have again gone to seek Mata Rao's blessing to form a new government. What a joke. Even the govt led by prachanda was a "pupprt governemt and next one will also be. SHAME ON U MAOIST.

I agree with Navin. Let us all welcome indian maoists to attact india from our soil. India allowed Prachanda and his hooligans to attack Nepal and thus the mess today is created by India. When they did not think for the welfare of Nepal, why we should think for the welfare of India?. China should support monarchy in Nepal. It is in best interest of China too.

If India had allowed Nepalese Moists during 10 year insurgency, then India should not have any headache if Indian Maoists are using Nepalese soil. Its tit for tat.
