Yes I met Chinese High Officials: Nepal Maoists’ Chief in HK

TGW

Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda- the Maoists’ Chairman who suddenly left for Hong Kong September 13, 2009 raising eyebrows near and far, talking to local Nepali media has said that some Maoists’ party internal affairs brought him to Hong Kong.

However, Prachanda admitted to the local media in all his honesty that he met with some High ranking Chinese Officials while being in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is China's administered region.

“Hong Kong is an integral part of China, it is natural when I land here I get the opportunity to meet the Chinese officials”, he said.

Prachanda is quoted as saying by a vernacular daily in Kathmandu.

“After my arrival in Hong Kong, they came in contact with me and we talked”, he said.

However, earlier reports disclosed that Prachanda was greeted by Chinese high ranking officials at the Hong Kong Airport.

Some media report even claimed that the Chinese “Key” officials who had been sent from Beijing took Prachanda and his delegation to an unknown destination immediately after Prachanda landed at the HK airport.

If so then it has some “meaning”.

Chairman Dahal is returning home today September 17, 2009.
