'China to support Maoists PLA in Nepal'
Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal the former deputy commander of the Maoist Peoples’ Liberation Army in Nepal and the incumbent minister of defense in an exclusive interview granted to the Janadisha Weekly-the Maoists Party mouth piece dated October 2, 2008, has revealed that the “Chinese Peoples’ Liberation Army wants to extend its relations with the Maoists PLA in Nepal”.
“The Chinese PLA has supported us in the past and it has pledged to continue its support in the future as well”.
Minister Badal who is also the Maoists' Military Strategist, only recently visited
“Upon meeting the Chinese Defense minister, State Counselor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chief of the Chinese Army Staff we also discussed the issue of increasing defense cooperation between the two countries”, said a beaming Badal perhaps indicating that he has received guaranteed assurances from the Chinese authorities.

In saying so, minister Badal hinted the obvious and the ground reality as it stands today.

“As we can learn much from the Chinese fast-paced development, equally there is the need to learn from the Chinese National Security Policy”.
“I personally believe that the driving forces for charting new National Security Policy should be in line with the preservation of our National Sovereignty, National Integrity and Territorial Integrity”, the minister concluded.

It is not different then what other countries has given a assurance regarding a PLA. It definatly did mentioned that we will provide a traning and (Arms)logistic to PLA. It did not commited to earmark money directily, nor Chinese government said that we will provide training. China did said, as India, US, Europen Union and the UN, how they would be helpful to integrate these unskill, brainwashed individual to put into a mainstream society. It is a concern of all. Also, Badal had on a trip as observer of military exercise that 60 country representative participated.

Dear Mr, badal, being a responsible minister, plz speak truth. Do you have any facts that “Chinese Peoples’ Liberation Army provided support to maoist militias in the past, so called people's revolution. It was the chinese government who always supports Nepal. Chinese government always helped in all aspects during King's direct rule. I have few Q. (1) Has chinese government promised to support Maoist combatants or Nepal army? (2)The Chinese PLA has supported Maoist combatants in the past or Nepal Government and Nepal Army? (3) On what basis you considered Nepal Army as PLA or so called PLA as Nepal Army?
