Madhesi leader threatens split

TGW

Addressing the Constituent Assembly meeting, yesterday, July 9, 2008 that was stalled since June 26, 2008, Mr. Jay Prakash Gupta, a leader of the Madhesi Janaadhiakar Forum threatened that if their protest through notice to the government’s Fifth Amendment proposal of the Interim Constitution is rejected by the Constituent Assembly, the country could head towards a vertical division.

“If our voices are not heard, those who reject the protest proposal will be the one responsible for the dire consequences arising thereafter”, threatened Gupta.

“The constituent amendment supplementary proposal forwarded by the government is completely against the agreement signed with the Madhesi alliance in February last…if the proposal is passed against the wishes of the Madhesi people, the relevance of the Constituent Assembly will cease to exist for the Madhesi community”, said Gupta.

The Minster for Law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs, Mr. Narendra Bikram Nembang making his speech at the CA meeting yesterday requested the leaders of the Madhesi alliance to withdraw their protest notice. Ignoring the minister’s plea, the Madhesi leaders decided to quit the CA meeting alleging that the amendment was against the Madhesi demands.

The Madhesi parties that quit the CA venue were the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum, Tarai Madhesh Lokatantrik Party, Lokatantriak Party, Sadvawaba Party(Mahato), Dalit-Janajati Party, Nepali Janata Dal, Nepal Sadvawana Party(Sarita Giri).

Making his maiden speech at the CA Comrade Pushpa Kamal Dahal had earlier pledged that he will do the need full to take all the parties together after the formation of a government of the Maoists.

Wise men take the lesson from the past or other's blunders. Dear Nepalese brothers Madheshi or Pahadi rather punish the corrupted and incompetent leaders than spliting the nation. Indians were colonised by British for hundreds of years because they were not united . No foreigner have soft corner for us. Foreigners can fool us for their benifit and then send us to hell. The real culprits are the so called leadres. Realize the truth now unless it will be too let. Better stop the stone before it starts to roll down hill, once it starts to roll no body can stop it. BE WISE.
