The Nepal Army has made it clear in a strong worded statement that it will not spare any groups, political parties and individuals engaged in secessionist activities. The Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri addressing a brigadier general meeting at the Nepal Army Headquarters made it amply abundantly clear that the Army is totally committed to preserve the territorial integrity of the country.

Kudos Nepal Army.

“We are fully aware of the ongoing activities carried out by some political parties and groups who want to split the country. The Army will take immediate action if the government so decides”, he continued.

But where is the government?

Addressing the closing session of the meeting said Army Chief Chhetri, “The current deadlock needs to be addressed at the political level. However, if activites intended at wreaking Nepal’s national integrity and our territorial integrity continues unabated the Army will be deployed automatically.”

The Nepal Army is celebrating Army day today.
