Telegraph Nepal

Secretary Dev Gurung of Nepal Communist Party-Maoist has said that the alliance of thirty three agitating parties are also ready to take part in the election held by the government headed by Khil Raj Regmi provided he tenders his resignation from the post of the chief justice of the country.

Rumors have it that Regmi may resign soon.

Addressing a press interaction in Kathmandu, September 29, 2013 said Gurung, “What we want is formation of a government headed by Khil Raj Regmi himself under Section 38-1 of the interim constitution after his resignation as the CJ of the country.”

“His resignation will give us opportunity to take part in the election. There is no alternative to consensus between the political parties.”

Gurung also claimed that the decision of the four-party syndicate to mobilize the Army in the election is a highly deplorable move. “The decision is a self-defeating exercise of the major parties.”

Soft tone.
