The heads of various foreign missions in Nepal have advised the agitating Nepal Communist Party-Maoist to immediately shun their protest programs and take part in the forthcoming election.
At an interaction program with the foreign mission heads organized by the party’s international bureau in Kathmandu, the foreign representatives had made their suggestion.
Present at the interaction were representatives from a dozen foreign missions including European Union, China, India, Australia, Finland, Norway, Russia, Israel, Japan, South Korea, North Korea and of course not to forget India.
The diplomats also advised the NCP-Maoists leaders not to create hindrances in the election because it was the only mechanism through which the public expressed their opinion in a democratic society.
The party deputy C.P. Gajurel replied talking to the media, “They advised us to take part in the election but we told them that there was no possibility for the party to take part in the election conducted by the present government.”
