Standing Committee member Bharat Mohan Adhikary of United Marxist Leninist Party says, reports Annapurna Post Daily dated November 1, 2012, “The UML will not object to a government led by anyone except Prachanda and Baburam.”
The senior UML leader was addressing a press meet organized by Press Chautari in Nuwakot, October 31, 2012.
On the other hand, Bharat Mohan is quoted by the impressive Nagarik National Daily as saying at the same program, “The UML accepts election government even if it is led by Prachanda.”
Reporting problem.
Nagarik writes further, “This is for the first time the opposition leaders who had been demanding immediate resignation of Prime Minister Baburam had made such a remark. They had been demanding election government under the Nepali Congress leadership.”
Bharat Mohan is known for making contradictory remarks, critics opine.
Adhikari informed the local press men that major parties including Madhesi alliance are holding ‘final talks’, Thursday, November 1, 2012.
“If Thursday talks end without substantial result there will be no more talks with the Unified Maoists Party,” he declared.
To recall, Mr. Adhikari had sided with the VAT evaders while he was the finance minister which forced then Finance Secretary Rameshwar Khanal to resign.
