Nepal: NC decides for fresh poll, Deuba and Poudel fall flat

The Nepali Congress central committee members have unanimously dumped the proposal for the revival of dead constituent assembly and decided to stand in favor of fresh election.

The party spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu told reporters after the meeting that formation of a national unity government under the leadership of Nepali Congress after Baburam’s departure is prime necessity.  

The government will itself take decisions on matters pertaining to election and fiscal budget, he also said.

Formation of government under NC leadership is vital for free and fair election, he added.

Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel and senior leader Sher Bahadur have expressed dissatisfaction over the party decision to close the CA revival option.

Both NC leaders were carrying the EU agenda, it is presumed.

Deuba during the meeting stood against the decision and Poudel claimed that the party should have also left the CA option open.

  • Congress doesn't have any direction. Confused, fragmented and many congress leaders afraid to confront election.

  • All direction less peoplle will fall flat in due course of time.Only those people will survive who give priority "ONE" to the people -but certainly not the people who are already enjoying their lives!!
