Nepal: PM says forget resignation, don’t imagine even

A day after meeting senior United Marxist Leninist Madhav Nepal and assuring him that he was not interested in clinging to power under this or that pretext, Prime Minister Baburam in Argakhachi, October 29, 2012, made it clear that if national unity government is to be formed to hold the election, then he should be allowed to continue.

Volte face.

“Prachanda ji had proposed formation of election government under Babruam’s leadership. Baburam ji claimed today that he was not at all interested to continue as the Prime Minister of the country. I am not certain if he was speaking from the heart but he talked on a different line. He said he is not the obstacle as is being publicly presented,” Madhav Nepal had claimed after meeting the prime minister.

He was right in suspecting Baburam’s changed stand. Mr. Nepal could easily be lured by the former Delhi based veterans.Madhav used to see them in Delhi on a regular basis, if one were to recall the 2005 days.

“In the absence of a parliament there are no legal provisions to derail the present government. There is no alternative available for the political parties to come to terms over contentious constitutional issues and revive the Constituent Assembly to promulgate the constitution”, continued PM Bhattarai.

“We are riding on the same boat. Let it be clearly known that if someone tries to make a hole in the boat, we will all sink,” warned the Prime Minister.

Chair speaks.

“I would like to make it further clear that I’ll not resign until parties resolve disputes. My resignation is beyond imagination”, Bhattarai’s message is loud and clear.

“If I am allowed to rule for a decade I will get rid of poverty and unemployment,” also claimed Baburam.

Rightly said because he has to make prosperous his near and dear relatives that he has been doing expectedly. 

Glaring exmple of power lust.
