Telegraph Nepal
The center of attraction of the ongoing meaningless ‘Tea Parties’ being held in Kathmandu by Nepal’s virtually exhausted political parties, Nepali Congress and United Marxist Leninist was none other than Sri Jayant Prasad Srivastava.
He must command respect as the main architect of Nepal’s upcoming future. Slave mentality in full swing.
Whereas continuing with its more than three decades old tradition, the Nepali Congress organized the tea party reception on the occasion of Dashain festival October 29, 2012, the United Marxist Leninist which is often recognized as the party of eunuchs ( Babu Ram is on record to have said this) held the party at its headquarters, today October 30, 2012.
Tea party competition.
To recall, Vice Chairman Baburam of Unified Maoists who happens to be the Prime Minister of the country at present under a design, had once labeled the UML as a ‘band of eunuchs’. Cruel Joke! Devi Prasad Regmi must have smiled then.
The Unified Maoists Party is also scheduled to hold a Tea Party during the Tihar Festivals. The Madhesi parties will arrange similar parties during the Chhat festival.
But who pays the bills? It remains undisclosed.
India’s ambassador Jayant Prasad was present on both of the occasions as did other heads of foreign diplomatic missions. Yet, critics remain askance whether it is Jayant’s charming and dimple loaded smiles or the control of the Indian mission heads have maintained over Nepal that lure Nepali photographers towards them?
Or expecting a free MBBS scholar ship bonanza?
Journalist K. P. Dhungana must penetrate into this matter and make register it in yet another “open secret-2” in his upcoming book. Will he dare?
Be that as it may, Jayant was the first foreigner (?) to congratulate the once labeled as India’s Puppet Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal for presenting his ‘Seven Point Proposal’ at the four parties meet held today. The meeting ended inconclusive today as well. This happens. Nothing to panic.
Madhav was very hopeful though. To hope is not at all a crime!
Talking to the media at the tea party organized by his party he claimed, “Politics is heading towards consensus. The Maoists and Madhesi parties are quite positive towards the seven point proposal. We will sit in with Nepali Congress leaders to discuss the proposal.”
Yet another breakfast bill.
Look what is there in the proposal that has already been admired by Sri Jayant Prasad-the undeclared viceroy for Nepal.
One, proper documentation of all contentious constitutional issues need to be made.
Two, the process for promulgating the constitution need to be finalized.
Three, CA revival option is outdated and thus parties need to focus on holding fresh election.
Four, immediate ouster of the government led by Baburam-the JNU Graduate.
Five, Formation of a consensus government.
Six, the consensus government will decide over the nitty-gritty’s of the upcoming fiscal budget.
Seven, the government thus formed after BRB ouster will also make its decision on the election.
A totally confused critics question Sri Jayant Prasad, “Your Excellency! is there anything to be admired?” When you admire then it is binding on entire Nepali population. This is the Nepali fate.
Thanks it is only 7 point not the draconian 12 or the history would have repeated a la 2005-6.
By the way, fresh news reveals that the Chinese Ambassador Yang Houlan has met with NC president Sushil Koirala. This has meaning.
