“Protracted political deadlock might eventually lead to revival of monarchy”, this is what Nepal’s revolutionary Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai who accomplished his education in India under the direct supervision of India’s genius professor Sukh Deo Muni said.
By the way, Professor Muni is silent these days. Must have been planning BIG.
Baburam also recalled the 2017 B.S. step of visionary King Mahendra and said, “The failure of political parties to promulgate constitution on time in 2017 led to imposition of autocratic Panchayat system by King Mahendra."
Is he praising King Mahendra or speaking about the then existing politics?
He made these remarks while addressing a program in Bishnu Kumari Campus in Bandipur of Tanahu district, October 12, 2012.
“If situation similar to the 2017 B.S is repeated, the country will have to face huge loss," he said and continued “Revival of Monarchy due to the differences between political parties will be a disaster”, Bhattarai feared.
BRB appears to have been in a trembling state. Analysts sympathize.
To recall, Prime Minister’s consort Madame Hisla Yami too had made similar remark, July 10, 2012.
Mrs. Yami’s father, Dharma ratna Yami, was a minister in late King Mahendra’s cabinet.
“Wrangling between political parties has become a boon for the former king. If parties do not take timely lessons Gyanendra could make a comeback,” Yami had declared.
