Nepal: Maoist intent of State Capture will fail says Sitaula

Telegraph Nepal

The person who used to be labeled ‘Maoists’ in the Nepali Congress camp and also shared intimate relations with Unified Maoists Chairman Pushpa Kamal ‘Prachanda’ during Maoists’ New Delhi, RAW-NOIDA, days now have begun saying that Nepali Congress leaders should stop being provoked by his tricks. Hypocrisy this!

Perhaps he has been told to speak so.

General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula is primarily held responsible by traditional NC leaders of ruining the party’s ideology.

Sitaula was in Nepalgunj, October 9, 2012, wherein he stated while addressing a program that, “We should stop being provoked by Prachanda”.

Friend turned foe?

He was referring to Prachanda’s fresh proposal for Constituent Assembly revival and the support he is getting from Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Poudel of his party.

“Let us all forget everything that happened in the past. Rather concentrate on holding a parliamentary election,” said Sitaula-who is suspected by his detractors of having tacit links with India’s notorious intelligence agencies. But benefit of doubt remains.

“Our unity will not let the Maoists forward this or that proposal every now and then. Their intent to capture the state will also fail if we remain united,” he said.
