Nepal: NC’s Deuba favors Poudel as Next PM, cuts joke

The Nepali Congress’ Sher Bahadur Deuba who was once labeled as highly incompetent prime minster ever by King Gyanendra Shah has surprisingly made remarks in favor of elevating party vice president Ram Chandra Poudel as the country next prime minister. Deuba must be joking.

Look what he said while addressing a press meet in Dhading, October 7, 2012.

“Our party will unanimously make decision over our Prime Ministerial candidate. It is up to Prime Minister Baburam to tender his resignation. We will immediately take our decision,” Deuba declared.

The Press meet was organized by Press Union.

“A person who lost prime ministerial race for 17 times in the past will still be our first priority,” cutting joke at Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel said Deuba.

This means that cyclone will surely hit this already decaying party.
