Telegraph Nepal
A day after Chairman Pashupati Shumser Rana of Rastriya Prajatantra Party declared that the country is heading towards becoming a failed state, Chairman Jhal Nath Khanal of the third largest party in the Divangat Constituent Assembly, United Marxist Leninist Party has provided a month deadline for the country to be tagged as a ‘failed state’.
Khanal was in Ilam, October 8, 2012 wherein he made the declaration.
“I can clearly see that if parties fail to hold national consensus within the month of Kartik the country will be declared a failed one.”
One month grace period.
“There is no alternative to unity between political parties.”
“What is the harm in refreshing our mandate from the public,” he asked and continued, “The parties should stop fearing election.”
However, he ridiculed the prospect of parties reaching consensus under the Maoists leadership yet again.
“Prithivi ma pralaya bhaye pani Baburam Maobadi ko netriwa ma Sahamatiya Sarkar Bandaina”
“Even if there is pralaya in the earth, it is impossible for the formation of consensus government under the Maoists leadership”, he said.
Pralaya, in Hindu cosmology, is an aeonic term for Dissolution, so says Wikipedia.
Civilization though will not come to an end but Nepal will for sure.
