Nepal: Maoists confuse parties, State Capture idea says Koirala

Telegraph Nepal

Says President Sushil Koirala of Nepali Congress, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of Unified Maoists that every time they meet, Dahal brings in different proposals and ideas.

Dahal is an intellectual, perhaps Koirala didn’t know.

Bewildered Koirala reveals further, “They try to confuse us all the time.” Our poor Sushil Da!

A tired looking Koirala made the remark while addressing a program in Dakshinkali of Kathmandu, October 4, 2012.

He urged Dahal to be consistent with his proposals and ideas.

“If he continues to change his stand every now and then, consensus is impossible to arrive at ,” he said and added, “The Maoists want to confuse the opposition. They want to capture the state. The Nepali Congress will nevertheless, not allow the Maoists to capture the state under any circumstances.”

“Had congress been at the steering seat while the Constituent Assembly was alive the country would have got the constitution,” Koirala said.

Critics however, would like to gently remind senior Koirala that NC’s failure to properly assess the Maoists have resulted into the present chaotic situation.

As you sow so shall you reap!
