Nepal: Oli forwards himself as next PM, says both top posts not to NC party

Telegraph Nepal

The United Marxist Leninist influential leader K.P. Sharma Oli is neither in favor of giving continuity of Unified Maoists party government nor is he interested in providing prime ministerial post to Nepali Congress. So what does he want?

According to Oli, posts of president and prime minister should not under any circumstances go to the same party. That means Nepali Congress is out of equation. The UML now caps the NC possibility?

At a program organized by Press Chautari Oli, October 3, 2012 said, “After elections held if both the posts go to the same party’s pocket, democratically that does not make any difference. However, the situation is different at present. At this time we need to maintain the power balance. It is thus necessary that two different parties take charge over the two posts.”

Nepal President got elected from NC quota.

“Though Maoists have forwarded similar proposal they have done so with mal intent”, he said hinting that the prime ministerial post should go the UML fold, more precisely speaking to him.

Oli takes himself as one of best prime ministerial candidate. Fortunately, he is intimate friend of Poltu Dada-the new Indian President Pranav Mukherjee.

India has several cards under its sleeve. Puzzling indeed.
