The Unified Maoists Party standing committee member Giriraj Mani Pokharel reveals talking to Nagarik National daily October 4, 2012, that party leadership has freshly come to conclusion that party vice chairman Baburam will tender his resignation as the country’s prime minister only if opposition parties accept formation of a national unity government under the leadership of party Chairman Pushpa Kamal ‘Prachanda’. Great Rider!
Back square to one.
He reveals further, “Chairman Pushpa Kamal and Vice Chairman Baburam have reached an agreement in this regard.”
“We had all unanimously accepted Girija Prasad Koirala’s leadership in the past as one of the signatories of the broader peace agreement. Chairman Pushpa Kamal as another signatory of the agreement is the appropriate candidate to lead the national unity government.”
Very good but biased analysis.
“Yet, we still prefer Prime Minister Baburam to continue to lead the national unity government. It should be Chairman Dahal to lead the national unity government if Bhattarai is not acceptable. Else, we are also open to an independent candidate to lead the government”.
