Nepal: CA revival talk a jocular topic for population says Oli

K.P. Sharma Oli said while addressing a program in Kathmandu, October 2, 2012, that inappropriate strength of Unified Maoists Party in the constituent assembly was the prime reason for the failure of the constituent assembly.

“The size of the constituent assembly is not linked to its failure. Rather inappropriate strength of the Unified Maoists Party was enough to derail the entire constitution drafting process,” observed Oli.

“If similar sort of CA is to be revived with similar composition then not even in two decades will the country see the new constitution,” he added.

“There is no other reason for the failure in drafting the constitution. It is solely due to the Maoists”.

He also urged leaders to stop demanding revival of the CA because he said it would only make people laugh at them.

“Do not make the world laugh at you by demanding revival of the same CA,” he said.
