Sujata Koirala appears to have attained political maturity of late.
It is altogether a different matter that the NC men acquire immense knowledge as and when they are in the foot path. Perhaps they have enough time at their disposal.
That she is a brilliant women came to the fore when she revealed that a contingent of United States Soldiers were currently residing in Mustang and that the government has so far not made any comments against the presence of foreign soldiers in the Nepali soil.
She was referring to the now agitating NCP-Maoists also.
She also, while talking to the media men at the Reporters Club, September 29, 2012, said that the government led by PM Bhattarai kept mum when the visiting US dignitary, Robert O. Blake met with the Kathmandu based Tibetan refugees, September 11, 2012, without informing the Nepal regime in advance. In this case also the NCP-Maoists led by Mohan Baidya kept a stoic silence.
Now she came to the point.
She says thus when the government remains silent along with the now agitating NCP-Maoists, when foreign soldiers sneak into interior parts of Nepal and when US officials meet the Tibetan refugees and there is no fury thus there was no logic or whatsoever in banning the screening of the Indian films and vehicles.
Such acts, as per Ms. Koirala were nothing but glaring example of “blind nationalism”.
Sujata says that the NCP-Maoists may have used this trick as a bargaining chip.
PS: Sujata’s disclosure that the US soldiers were already inside the Nepali territory gets stamped by an article penned by Arun Shrivastava for Vijayavani a week ago wherein he states that, (sic), “Early this week, sixty-five American soldiers landed in Kathmandu and moved to Dhikurpokhari of Kaski district of Nepal. They are also travelling in Manang and Mustang districts bordering China’s Tibet region. Israelis hold the highest Passover Seder festival each year on 9 April in Manang! Ostensibly the soldiers are on a “humanitarian mission” of assessing the quality of healthcare services available to the local people. They have been meeting health workers and holding talks with NGOs working in these parts. This job could have been better accomplished by a team of public health experts in civilian dress”.
The US soldiers, according to high placed sources were at the moment in Mustang.
