Telegraph Nepal
On his way back from the district of Syangja paying homage at various Hindu temples, the former Nepal King Gyanendra Shah had an encounter with Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, reports Sourya National Daily, September 24, 2012.
“They saw each other from their vehicles,” reports the daily.
What a juicy moment that it would have been? Lovely.
Chairman Prachanda was on his way to Andu Danda for unknown reasons when the two met in the evening at Khodekhola of Siddartha Highway.
As the luck would have it. The former Jungle dweller is in the city, and the one who ruled Nepal as King is now in the Jungles.
The monarchists who were escorting the former king’s vehicle began chanting pro-monarchy slogans when they recognized the Maoists chairman.
Dahal’s personal secretariat has told the media that he will be taking few days rest in Pokhara. Also reports the newspaper that while in Pokhara, Dahal will not be holding any formal meetings.
Chairman Prachanda must have got the point.
