Nepal: Three party syndicate failed, Baidya demands roundtable seminar

Telegraph Nepal

The ‘three party syndicate’ is not acceptable to the newly formed Nepal Communist Party-Maoist led by Mohan Baidya Kiran.

Talking to Kantipur Daily, Baidya Baa said, “Any agreements reached only between Nepali Congress, United Marxist Leninist and Unified Maoists will not be acceptable to us. All three parties are equally responsible for the current sorry state of the country. I am firm on my belief that discussions, exchange of views and agreements they have reached so far is not for drafting the constitution.”

Great analysis.

“Whatever they decide between themselves by ignoring the rest of the parties to revive the Constituent Assembly or declare fresh election will only force us to wage yet another agitation,” he thundered and added, “We have clearly observed that all decisions taken by the three party syndicate have gone to the dogs.”

“We have been demanding a round table conference between all the stake holders, which we believe, could be the only solution to get of the present crisis”, he also said.
