Nepal: UML leader Oli excited to assume next PM post

K.P. Sharma Oli is quite confident that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai will be removed before the Dashain festival begins and with his grand departure, the country will also get the new constitution.

In an exclusive interview with a Television Channel hosted by veteran journalist Rishi Dhamala, September 8, 2012, the influential United Marxist Leninist Leader said he has freshly held talks with Unified Maoists’ Chairman Pushpa Kamal and Nepali Congress’s Sushil in this regard.

“I have found them both positive towards Baburam’s ouster.”

“The President looks silent but internally he is making his moves. The President will sack the caretaker Prime Minister and no one can do anything against his decision”, said a confident Oli.

“I am capable enough to lead the country. I will effectively get rid of the present political mess”, he said presenting himself as the next prime ministerial candidate.

Blessing of Poltu dada?

“Let it be clear that I am not the one who will be a cosmetic Prime Minister as we had a few in the past”, he also said, “Indeed it is the turn of the Nepali Congress to lead the next government but if NC fails to nominate a candidate, the UML is ready to lead the country.”

Could ultimately become a TV excitement only. Chances remain high but yet what the brother across the border has in mind will eventually fix his excitement.
