Nepal: NC in sorry state for ditching late BP reconciliation policy

Instant gain and cheap popularity, believe some in Nepali Congress camp, provoked present day party leadership to quit party’s ideology propounded by none other than late B.P. Koirala. The Nepali Congress no longer adheres to ‘Nationalism, Democracy & Socialism.’

To recall, late B. P Koirala was a visionary leader.

Power and rule is primary for the party than ideology, stand, morale, capacity and ability, said Kul Bahadur Gurung talking to Nagarik National Daily, September 7, 2012.

“B.P. was a complete leader but he never believed in groups and subgroups within the party,” also says Gurung.

Shekhar Koirala also believes that country at present seriously lacks visionary leadership of the sort of late B.P.

The Nepali Congress has abandoned ideologies propounded by B.P. in a wholesale, says Bhim Bahadur Tamang.
