Nepal: NC also answerable for political instability, Sujata admits

Telegraph Nepal

Sujata Koirala has come to the conclusion that Nepali Congress is to be held primarily responsible for the present political instability.

That’s straight from the horse’s mouth!

Ms. Koirala was addressing at a program in Biratnagar, September 6, 2012.

“Irresponsible acts on the part of our party have provided opportunity for ‘hidden forces’ to raise their heads. Timely correction could only prevent approaching disaster,” she claimed.

“We should also stop hindering process of consensus. This is what Maoists exactly want. The Maoists want Nepali Congress continue to be involved in the internal fight for its’ prime ministerial candidate,” she opined and continued, “Neither have we been able to choose a prime minister for the country nor can we  take a firm stand on federalism issues.”

“The Nepali Congress needs to take firm and timely decisions one after another in series if it is to free the country from the present political deadlock”.

She continued, “After the death of Girija Babu, anti-democratic forces have begun attacking the Nepali Congress. However, let it be known the NC will never bow down to such forces.”

One doesn’t need to pay for making fiery speeches. But yet has talked sense this time.
